Compatibility of opinions on parenting in couples
Hurychová, Alice ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Šprincová, Veronika (referee)
The aim of this study is to compare views on parenting of partners (from a gender perspective) in families caring for children. Changes in women's position in society, their increasing financial contribution to the family budget and therefore economic background influence the opinions about the overall organization of family life, which is reflected in the actual division of parental roles and associated responsibilities. Rossová, Iveta ; Šanderová, Jadwiga (advisor) ; Pospíšilová, Marie (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the cultural conflict in terms of household maintenance and child care in the Czech-Guinean families living in Czech republic. The goal of the thesis is to investigate both explicit and implicit aspects of conflicts caused by different cultural family backgrounds of those examined Czech-Guinean families. In the first part is introduced the basic terminology (as family, marriage, kinship), latest trends of family behavior both worldwide and in Czech republic and the theory of interethnic partnerships. There is also a brief overview of historical and cultural influences within Guinean territory, presentation of main Guinean values in terms of family behavior and household maintenance and current trends in Guinean family behavior. Second part of the thesis describes the conceptual framework of the research, which is based on a case study - particularly on Stake's instrictive approach - and uses combination of two methods of qualitative research, namely semi- structured interview and participated observation. The research itself showed the possibility of observation of similar structures and everyday practice - both of those performing correlation with actual family's cycles; further it identified common trends in behavior of partners and joint strategies in conflict solving.
